Hello
Hello, I’m Felix. I’ve worked in the game development industry for more than 15 years, with the last 10 spent in QA management. My career has given me a solid foundation in all aspects of QA testing, from hands-on work to overseeing teams and implementing large-scale quality strategies.

I’ve had the privilege of managing cross-functional QA efforts, streamlining processes, and ensuring alignment with production and publishing goals.

In private I'm a gamer with an interest in management (ðŸ¤) games like Satisfactory & shapez 2, RPG games like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher, and simulation games like Flight Simulator.

I also have an interest in Applied Science & Data Science.
My Journey
I grew up bilingual in Germany spending most of my youth attending International Schools (where typically all subjects are taught in English). During that time I also spent an exchange year in the United States, near Seattle, WA.

Having grown up with level editors for Duke Nukem 3D, Total Annihilation and Descent and being an avid gamer back then playing games like Myst, Riven, Incredible Machine & Half Life, I knew I wanted to work within games and utilized my bilingual knowledge to break into the game industry through translations and localization QA.

I started translating Browser Games and doing some community support in English.
I then moved to Ireland for what was supposed to be a temporary position at Lionbridge doing functional QA for German SKUs of Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. I ended up staying in Ireland for 5 years which eventually took me to working at Activision and being involved with many of their well known franchises like Call of Duty, Guitar Hero as well as many of their movie tie-in games such as Spider Man, Transformers, Percy Jackson and Deadpool.

For a detailed breakdown of the things I did at these companies, see my resume on LinkedIn.

After Activision, I briefly had the opportunity to work for Google and joined their support team for Google Maps.

Eventually I found out that Sweden has a large Game Industry and found my way into Avalanche Studios, which were making Mad Max at the time. There I gained experience as an Embedded Functional QA Tester testing all aspects of this multiplatform title but also being primarily responsible for all side missions in-game.
After the release of Mad Max I started working for Paradox Interactive, which are known for their grand strategy titles such as Stellaris, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron as well as their city builder Cities: Skylines.
After a short stint as a Specialized QA Tester, I eventually had the opportunity to become a QA Manager for their grand strategy titles - and it is at this point that I started to gain experience as a QA Manager and as a People Manager.
